Halloween

Had a great time on Halloween!  Nola got to wear her purple princess to daycare and trick-or-treat there.  She came home from there with over 5lbs of candy....then we went to the Kiwanis park and trick-or-treating on our street for even more candy!

Fall Festival & Mike's Farm

Fall festival last Friday at Maddux's school.  Fun parade and games inside the school!  Yummy food at Mike's Farm this weekend - decided to skip the hay ride (too dusty) but kids had fun on the bouncy houses and Nola loved feeding the animals and riding the train!

Pumpkin Time

Time to make pumpkins -Nola's first Halloween adventures.  I don't think she really understands what Halloween is, but as long as she gets to wear her purple princess costume, nothing else matters!  We found a "bumpy" pumpkin that we thought would be perfect for Maddux's skeleton pieces, and Nola picked out a white pumpkin for her Monster.  No carving required!  Although, Nola keeps asking to open the pumpkin, I think she thinks it's empty inside.  Might have to open one up and roast some seeds later.

Luna hates these!  But she seems to have gotten used to them.  They are on the outside of the door so Thomas doesn't eat them!!!

Fall Kiwanis Park Visit

Probably the last park visit of the year with warm weather.  Had a great time - so much progress this summer!  Nola is no longer afraid of the swings and Maddux can climb the rock wall and make it across the moving yellow pieces (no idea what they're called) all by himself!  He can also climb on top of the orange fish and I'm pretty sure yesterday we caught him trying to climb onto the red roof at the end of it!!!
